If money was limitless in this case i would set up a large structure to act as the indoor training facility to cater for the winter season. I wish it was happening now though.

Well this week we started to fence off an area on our land for the training sheep.
This is possible to an unusual mild winter; normally you wouldn't be able to put down fence posts this time off the year. I estimate it is about two hectares big , that's about 5 acres. I'll measure it later.
Need to buy some netting to finish it.
It has a gate in the middle of the fencing (as opposed to in the corner) which is nice for laying the ground work for penning.
Another thing on the agenda is buying panels for a round pen, for dog and horse training. Rather expensive here but especially because I also have young horses in training worth it I think. Plan on buying some extra panels for a bigger diameter than the standard horse pen.

Yeah, the "to do" list is long, and it just seems to get longer and longer.
This is not a complaint btw! Mostly fun stuff. Apart from shoveling manure, that will never become a hobby....

Isn't that the truth! :)

Right now we are being infested by little white creatures:

Haha what a cool vid Maja! It seems the ewes are pretty relaxed about their offspring "playing" with the dog :)
Also enjoyed the slomo replays of their antics.
It is still a long six weeks until the first lambs at our place, ah well, I will have Peli to fill the cuteness void.....

Who is Peli and why haven't I seen a picture of Peli?  We are all done with lambing, the last one popped out two days ago.

Darinka is actually quite superfluous there, from the point of view of what the lambs are doing. I think  once  I actually asked her to make the lambs switch the direction so that a person watching the vid does not get dizzy :) .   Every morning the bunch of woolly rascals run in circles like that, dog or not.   And they are driving Darine nuts.  She is not treating them as full sheep yet, but when they scatter all over she thinks this is wrong, man, this is just plain immoral!

To be honest, I don' t really know who Peli is either 😁
What I do know, he is one of three males in a litter of nine. Tomorrow I will go and pick him up. I have seen them at two weeks old and at five, but the breeder and I have not made a definate choice yet. They are about nine weeks old now.
And yeah, I will post some pics after I get him.
