KrisK
I'm not able to open the attachment, but given the post is in this section and I know that Luke was not well....my sympathies to you and yours. No matter how long they live with us, it is never long enough.
Alchemist
The attachment is a photo of Luke on an outrun at what must be the Haford Bridge trial in Wales that Donald wrote of so eloquently in "Mr. and Mrs. Dog". A picture is sometimes worth a thousand words, and this one - showing Luke in his element, at a trial he won - conveys more than any words (even Donald's) could. I'm so sorry, Donald, and I wish I had the right words to offer you. I felt as if I'd gotten to know both Luke and June through your writings. I felt your pain on losing June in your book, and I grieve for your loss.

Tommy Coyote
These memorials are so hard to read. What do you say when someone loses their beloved dog? There are no words. At least here everyone understands just how painful this loss is. I cry for everyone of these dogs and owners. It's for them and also for me. Such a wonderful photo of Luke running full out. What a wonderful dog. I just wish we didn't have to lose them so soon.
